Overview

The Paper Cinema presents a unique take on Homer's Odyssey. The quaint attraction of this British theatre company lies in their use of live animation, with an array of beautiful hand drawn paper cut outs projected on to a big screen. Weaving in live music – catch the emotive violin and piano in the trailer – the format of the show looks to be as diverse as the Odyssey's trials and tribulations against the natural elements and the paranormal.

Landing in Auckland for only four nights, The Paper Cinema's Odyssey premiered in 2012 and has since toured internationally. Don't get caught in the land of the lotus eaters, be sure to drop in for an immersive and suspenseful experience of postmodern storytelling.

For extra insight into this palimpsest presentation aim for the Thursday 30 October show which includes a special post-performance discussion.
