In line will their full rebrand and inspirational motto, telecommunications company Spark have introduced a launching pad for those starting out in creative industries.

The Spark Lab initiative and their brand new purpose-built space in Auckland’s Britomart precinct will offer up-close and personal access to experienced mentors, through talks, workshops, and seminars. Each month will shine light on a specific field, including music, fashion, art, technology, design, photography, film making and architecture. The opening month will focus on music, with 20 curated events planned throughout November.

The music line-up ranges from presentations by Fat Freddy’s Drop founding member DJ Fitchie and Che Fu to songwriting workshops, performances, and talks from experienced music big wigs - including Lorde’s manager Scott McLaughlin.

Tickets to all of the events will be available via a free online booking service at www.spark.co.nz/sparklab.
