The Caker Is Celebrating Its New Bakery-Style Experience with Free Coffee

The Caker's Karangahape Road outpost, Salon de Cake, has been the go-to for beautifully crafted cakes for two years now. It's a space to treat yourself with mini or whole cakes, sit down for a wedding consultation, or shop for recipe books and cake mix.

From 12 August, the salon will be extending its operating hours for more of a "bakery-style experience". The extended Sunday opening hours come as owner Jordan Rondel (aka The Caker) prepares to open a bakery in Los Angeles. Scheduled to open in the not-too-distant future, the stateside space will be more cabinet based — the Sunday opening is set to be a trial for this.

On offer will be slices of cake, mini cakes galore and some special Sunday-only flavours. It will be takeaway-only as normal, but customers are encouraged to take their treats next door and enjoy them with free coffee at Daily Daily. Running from 10am-2pm every Sunday until 2 September, the complimentary coffee deal will be available for everyone who purchases something in store or simply picks up their pre-ordered cake.
