A THREE-COURSE SOUTHEAST ASIAN FEAST FROM SAAN/CAFE HANOI

The team behind Cafe Hanoi and Saan have created a Southeast Asian at-home menu for Mother's Day. It combines favourite dishes from both restaurants into one delicious three-course meal. Treat mum to Vietnamese roast duck salad, Thai mussaman curry with Hawkes Bay lamb, chargrilled eggplant and a Southeast Asian-inspired box of treats to finish. As an extra special treat you can add wine to the order from the likes of Laurent-Perrier, Amisfield, Spy Valley and Dogpoint. The multi-course meal can be ordered for bubbles of two to six people, with pick-up and delivery both available.

AN AT-HOME PICNIC HAMPER FROM THE TASTING SHED

Kumeu's The Tasting Shed is hoping to make Mother's Day that extra bit special with prepared at-home picnic hampers. The hampers can be arranged as either meat, seafood or vegetarian options (or a combo of the three). Take your pick from smoked chicken and prosciutto, baba ganoush and hummus, or smoked salmon and fish brandade. Whatever your preference, each order comes with house-made fennel butter, feijoa relish, sourdough, olives and nuts, pickles and cheeses. The hampers are priced between $55–65 and will feed two people.

This Herne Bay French restaurant has put together a delicious brunch kit so no one has to cook or clean up the kitchen. Waterfront Asian fusion restaurant Hello Beasty is dishing up three courses including a decadent dessert for Mother's Day. On Sunday, 10 May, your mum will receive drunken chicken salad, slow-cooked Sichuan lamb shoulder, charred broccolini, roasted carrots in white miso dressing, spring onion flat bread, and milk cake with meringue, pistachio and raspberries. The food comes prepared with instructions available online from head chef Stuart Rogan on how to heat and plate each dish. The feast feeds three to four people, and for an extra $100 you can kick it up a notch with fresh flowers.

Mother's Day dinner from Auckland CBD's The Engine Room will be served across three courses. The hospitality group behind big name Auckland restaurants Ostro, Ebisu, Azabu and Lobster & Tap has a range of offers available for Mother's Day. You just have to decide whether mum would  prefer decadent high tea, a Sunday roast, a sushi and sashimi platter, or a lobster roll feast paired with champagne.

You may not be able to take mum out for brunch this year, but you can still send the morning feast in her direction.
