Overview
After making its debut in Japan last year, alpine music festival Snow Machine is hitting the slopes of Queenstown for four snow-filled days of music and adventure. Attendees at the New Zealand edition from September 8–11, 2021 will be treated to action-packed days on the slopes, aprés ski events on both Coronet Peak and The Remarkables and a lineup of international acts against the idyllic backdrop of New Zealand's adventure capital.
A who's who of Australian electronic acts will warm up the frosty evenings in downtown Queenstown. Headline performances come from legendary Melbourne group The Avalanches, producer duo Flight Facilities, house producer Hayden James and electro pop act The Presets.
Also dropping in to share the stage will be Hermitude, Hot Dub Time Machine, Illy, Boy & Bear, Bliss N Eso, Sneaky Sound System, as well as Sachi, Late Nite Tuff Guy, Yumi Zouma, Owl Eyes, Kinder, Tina Says, Tori Levett and Jimi the Kween. The on-mountain aprés stage 'First Base' will see Hugo Gruzman (Flight Facilities) and Tom Tilley (Triple J/Client Liaison) don retro ski suits to spin classic club bangers.
Tickets to Snow Machine 2021 are all-in-one, offering a variety of accomodation options, a full four-day festival ticket as well as lift passes. Festival goers are invited to immerse themselves in the adventure capital by adding on heli-skiing, jet boating, bungy jumping and sky diving.
The event arrives from the brains behind Australia's Wine Machine and the folks at NZSki. If the event is cancelled due to COVID-19 ticket holders will receive a refund, and if the trans-Tasman travel bubble does not open in time those travelling from Australia will also receive a refund.
Snow Machine will be held from September 8–11, 2021 in Queenstown, New Zealand. Presale tickets go on sale from 6pm Wednesday, 20 January with general tickets available from midday Thursday, 21 January, 2021. For more information, visit snow-machine.nz.
