Mudbrick is a gem hidden away on Waiheke Island (which is only about 35 minutes of a ferry ride from town, but still). They've recently revealed their amazing winter menu (click here for the gallery of photos from the launch) which is a total treat - think Katafi prawns with green curry and pistachio nuts, butternut soup with madras spice and grilled venison with beetroot and juniper berry. Or wait, don't think about, just try it.

We have, and we can vouch that eating there gives you roughly the same type of feeling Dorothy had when she first landed in Oz (minus any missing dogs or strange singing dwarfs). Some of the photos below showcase the delicious food that is on offer throughout winter and check out our review and other restaurant details here.
