Overview

The month of March at Silo Park will see the contiuation of great films presented by Silo Cinema, a selection of acclaimed DJs and bands at Silo Sessions and free dance lessons every Sunday at Silo Social.

Silo Cinema presents an array of free outdoor films every Friday night as a perfect way to wind after the working week. The month kicked off with The Royal Tenenbaums on March 7, and follows with Italian drama Life is Beautiful - directed by and starring Roberto Benigni - plus cult comedy classic Wayne’s World on March 14.  The previously rained-out city-living documentary The Human Scale and accompanying speaker presentation Pecha Kucha will take place on March 28.

Silo Sessions will see out the month on March 29 with a day of live music curated by multi-instrumentalist and producer, Mike Fabulous. His newest soul-reggae, afro-disco, latin-boogie fusion project, Lord Echo, will perform a live set with support from soul/R’n’B singer Ria Hall, Wellington’s Electric Wire Hustle, and DJ sets from Isaac Aesili, Lord Echo, Mara TK and Taay Ninh.

Every Sunday between 3pm and 6pm free dance classes will be on offer from dance academies across the city. The Silo Social March programme includes line dancing and two surprise dance classes.

All that plus on-site street food vendors and markets each Sunday from 12pm to 6pm.
