The Nike Run for Val – Gold Watch Presentation

Nike hosted a number of media and guests, including people who partook in the Run for Val campaign prior to Valerie's courageous and controversial Gold Medal at the London Olympics. Valerie Adams was also presented with a limited edition Nike 18 carat Gold Watch, that was globally given to all of the Nike sponsored athletes who brought home the gold.

Mike McRoberts hosted the evening at the new Nike HQ in Freeman's Bay, Auckland. And not only did everyone in the room get to personally meet the national hero (Valerie that is, not Mike), but also got to hold on to one of the world's most elusive Gold Medals (which we were been told had been sterilised upon return from the Belorussian).
