Film lovers get ready for some popcorn-induced comas, the New Zealand International Film Festival has launched its 2013 program.

The smorgasbord of films include Only Lovers Left Alive featuring Tilda Swinton, Like Father Like Son which won the Cannes Jury Prize this year, The Past directed by Asghar Farhadi, who also directed the amazing A Seperation, and Ginger and Rose starring Elle Fanning.

Not to mention some New Zealand goodness like the New Zealand Ballet Company's Giselle, Anthony Powell's Antarctica: A Year on Ice which is a documentary about living at Scott base, the New Zealand and Denmark collaboration The Weight of Elephants and the world premiere of newbie Fantail.

There's also quite a few golden oldies in stock like Dial M for Murder, North by Northwest and a special Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra collaboration with the classic Buster Keaton's The Cameraman. Films are being screened across various venues in Auckland from July 18 2013 until August 4 2013.

Check out the full program, how to buy tickets and all the other fine print on the NZ International Film Festival website.
