Overview

Urban neighbourhood space and North Shore business park, Smales Farm is launching a series of outdoor films this summer, starting with a special screening of the yuletide classic Home Alone on Saturday 12 December at 7:30pm. Dust off the camping chairs and roll out the picnic blanket, ‘cause it’s BYO seats at the cinema under the stars. After the film’s done and dusted, sit back and enjoy the Christmas-themed light show, sure to get you in the festive spirit.

The open air cinema takes a break until February 13, when it kicks off in style with everyone’s favourite fishy tale, Finding Nemo. Other films in the schedule include family friendly features: Frozen (Saturday 20 February) and Despicable Me (Saturday 27 February).

If you don’t have time for a dinner before the film, don’t fret, there'll be food trucks courtesy of Food Space serving up the good stuff before and during the show. You’re spoilt for choice with a diverse range of Auckland’s finest travelling food vendors showing up to keep bellies full and smiles on faces. Make sure you come early to grab a bite to eat and reserve a prime spot on the grass, because if the weather’s fine, the good spots will go fast.

See the Smales Farm website for more information.
