Meanwhile he and wife Sarah, played by Kate Hudson, are barely getting by financially on the salary she earns from her monotonous data entry job.

When his dying father can no longer afford to pay for his two kids' private education, Aidan reluctantly decides to give home-schooling a go. By teaching them about life his own way, Aidan gradually discovers what he's been looking for. Wish I Was Here is a sincere and funny follow up to Braff's hugely popular directorial debut The Garden State.
