The first festival to get a peak at the silver lining of 2015 has announced its first artist line up. On top of UK electro-pop band Bastille, who were announced as a headliner in June, Rhythm and Vines will host a solid array of international and local acts to ring in the new year.

After a strong outcry from his Kiwi fans, drum and bass act Netsky will once again ignite the dance floor and give the country's best speakers a run for their money come December 29. He'll take the stage with a full live band as Netsky Live.

Already scheduled to appear at the southern version of the festival, Zane Lowe will make the trip up north for a hoon on the decks at Waiohika Estate. The Kiwi born UK based broadcaster is known for his impeccable music taste and fast paced DJ sets of eclectic remixes and samples. Also, making his way from the depths of Cardrona Valley, and returning for the second consecutive year, is Aussie electronic-soul artist Chet Faker.

A trifecta of hip hop stars will fly in to Gisborne including Detroit rapper Danny Brown, Queens MC and fine food connoisseur Action Bronson, and leading hip hop producer Just Blaze.

Then there's Perth beatsmith Ta-ku, Sydney based Madchester-duo Jagwar Ma, Hospital Records co-founder and DJ - London Elektricity, Danish electro-pop singer , drum and bass act DC Breaks, Hawaiian producer Mr Carmack, LA producer and signee of Diplo’s Mad Decent label ETC! ETC!

Plus, The Cuban Brothers, State Of Mind, Addison Groove, Ayah Marar, PNC, KiNK (live), Meta and the Cornerstones, Little May, Midland, The Funk Hunters, Estère, Kamandi, Team Dynamite, Third3ye, Young Tapz, Yumi Zouma and Holly Arrowsmith.

More international headliners and local acts are still due to be announced.

Tickets this year will be limited to 20,000. Get them from www.rhythmandvines.co.nz
