Overview

As if people weren't excited enough for the 2013 edition of St Jerome's Laneways, now organisers have released details of an exciting new stage at the epic Silo Park venue. Red Bull has jumped on board as the stage sponsor, with the new stage to be known as the Thunderdome.

The Red Bull Thunderdome will be located inside the single silo, right beside the waterfront. Last year this silo and space surrounding it was outside the Laneway Festival site, but this year Laneway has extended and upgraded the site to include the silo and grassy knoll next to it. And everyone loves a grassy knoll.

The stage's sets will kick off mid-afternoon and run through to the end of the festival with the following indie lineup:

Phelps & Munro, A Place to Bury Strangers DJs, DJ Mirror Balls and Squeeky Eye, Beach Pigs, Golden Axe, 95bFM's Pennie Black and Zac Arnold, Stinky Jim and Geezer Guy, Slutz with Kidz, This Is The Way The World Ends, Mellow Grave.

With Silo Cinema on Friday (Sound of Music), Silo Sessions on the Saturday (Laneway curated lineup), and Laneway on the Monday, it is certainly looking like a solid birthday celebration for the 09 come Anniversary Weekend.
