Overview
Festival-goers attending Rhythm and Vines and Rhythm and Alps this New Year's Eve will have the opportunity to stress less about first world problems like phone battery life thanks to a new partnership between Vodafone, clothing label Stolen Girlfriends Club and festival organisers Rhythm Group.
Auckland designers Stolen Girlfriends Club have customized 1000 dresses and shorts into futuristic mobile charging stations, each featuring 60 solar panels that resemble scales of armor.
Vodafone customers will be available to pick up one of the 1,000 solar-powered mobile chargers (the size of an iPad mini) via an auction leading up to both festivals. All proceeds from the auctions will go to Starship Children's Hospital.
