Overview
A further 40 acts have been added to the bill for Rhythm and Vines, rounding off an already impressive line-up of more than 100 international and local musicians.
Already announced to be performing at R&V’s sibling festival Rhythm and Alps, London-based Kiwi Zane Lowe will also make the trip up North to perform at Gisborne’s Waiohika Estate. In between scouring the earth for the hottest new music and chatting to a who’s who of musicians, Lowe is an international renowned live DJ and remix artist and is an original member of NZ band Breaks Co-op. He will be joined by The Veils, who will aim to back up a recent call from the LA Times “The best and most unsettling thing seen in music this year” - plus Sydney-based disc jockey Mark Pritchard for his first New Zealand performance, local dub legend Tiki Taane, Electric Wire Hustle alongside their new drummer of The Mars Volta, dubstep producers Truth, indie R&B duo Jupiter Project and post-worldcore 7-piece The Barons of Tang.
