Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, a further 16 new acts have been added to the bill for Rhythm and Alps. Over 40 international and local acts will now grace the stage at the festival held in the pristine Cardrona Valley from December 30 to 31.

London-based Kiwi Zane Lowe heads the second line-up. The BBC Radio One DJ most recently sat down for a strange interview with Kayne West where the rapper boasted his creation of leather jogging pants as well as being the biggest rockstar in the world. In between scouring the earth for the hottest new music and chatting to a who’s who of musicians, Lowe himself is an international renowned live DJ and remix artist and is an original member of NZ band Breaks Co-op.

He will be joined by The Veils hot off the release of their critically acclaimed fourth album Time Stays, We Go and following a sold out tour of the country earlier in the year, UK drum and bass producer DJ Zinc, local jazz aficionado Nathan Haines featuring Kevin Mark Trail of The Streets and drummer Mickey Ututaonga, rock and live loop duo Cairo Knife Fight and dubstep producers Truth.

Further additions to the line up include Freddie Cruger aka Red Astaire, Spikey Tee, Ruse, Lewis Tenant, Steezie Wonder, Sticky Fingaz, Play DJ’s (R.I.A and C:She) Seth Hamilton and Holly Arrowsmith.

Who will join...

Rudimental, Shapeshifter, Hospitality, Tahuna Breaks, The Funk Hunters, Recloose, P-Money, David Dallas, @Peace, Concord Dawn, Bulletproof, The Nomad, Louis Baker, Mayavanya, Reality Chant & MC Silva & Jah Red Lion, Steve Ward, Jamie Stevens, Thankyou City, Estére, Kev Fresh, Thanks and Gasp.

Tickets to Rhythm and Alps are available from www.rhythmandalps.co.nz and are expected to sell out by the end of November.
