Overview
As the second artist release comes in hot, over 100 acts are now scheduled to perform at New Zealand's longest running New Year's festival, Rhythm and Vines.
Grammy award-winning artist Kimbra leads the second release, joining the likes of Chance the Rapper, ZHU and RÜFÜS as a headliner for 2016. Her appearance comes off the back of releasing the squelchy, funk track 'Sweet Relief'. It also marks her return to the festival after headlining the 10th anniversary in 2012.
Further new additions to the bill include UK electronic duo Maribou State, drum and bass DJ Culture Shock, BBC Radio One DJ Heidi, Melbourne's Oscar Key Sung, Sydney six-piece Ocean Alley, rising electronic act Maala and 'Don't Worry Bout It' hit maker Kings— among plenty of others.
Alongside the artist lineup comes the announcement of a fourth performance area named: The Discovery Stage. The stage will be home to the Giggle and Vines comedy segment and will provide a platform for up-and-coming musicians. The full lineup will be released in November along with the full schedule and set times.
Rhythm and Vines 2016 takes place at Waiohika Estate from 29 - 31. Visit rhythmandvines.co.nz for more information and ticket details.
