A night dedicated to the workhorses of the industry

The music industry is so hard to crack and while the public assumes that stars shoot into orbit of their own accord, it's just not that simple. Any successful musician will tell you that you're not going anywhere without a manager and if you are you're probably a fiend for hard work.

On May 14, MMF (The Music Managers Foundation) along with a ridiculous list of sponsors, decided it was high time they grabbed Anika Moa, chucked her in front of a podium and had her present these workhorses with some well overdue awards. It was such a great night, with lots of laughs shared among friends in the industry. Complementary drinks and food are commonplace, but it's so rare to be supporting an idolising the ones who put the work in behind the scenes. One very memorable moment was when, (during their acceptance speech), The Powerstation owners dedicated their award to their janitor.
