Six60's Support Acts Include Supergroove, Tones and I, Kora and More During This Year's Stadium Tour

As if you needed any more of an incentive to get your hands on tickets to the biggest tour of the summer.

After what surely feels like the longest winter on record, we're all holding out for warmer weather and a solid New Zealand festi season — and this year things are kicking off with a bang thanks to the return of Six60's nationwide tour.

We've known for a while the much-loved rock, roots, reggae band is finally able to hold their six-stop stadium tour around the country this spring, following February and March's COVID cancellations. Today they've blessed your ears with their new track 'Before You Leave' from their fourth album Castle Street, which is set to drop on October 7. All these developments will no doubt have their diehard fans counting down the days until the tour begins.

But if you needed any more of an incentive to get your mitts on tickets, it might just be the famous faces they're bringing along for the ride.

A bevvy of local and international acts are set to join the New Zealand rockers as support acts in their shows throughout October, November and December.

Led by Che Fu, Aotearoa's groove masters Supergroove will be returning to the stage together for the first time since 2017 to join Six60 on stage in Wellington and Auckland. What could be more iconically New Zealand than hearing 'Can't Get Enough', 'Sitting Inside My Head' and 'Scorpio Girls' live on stage?

Other iconic New Zealand acts taking the stage include Kora, who'll be performing in Rotorua and Dunedin, Ladi6 who'll be hitting Eden Park's stage in Auckland, Lee Mvtthew who'll be bringing a drum and bass set to Christchurch, and Sons of Zion who'll be taking the stage in Napier.

Several international acts are also set to join, including Australian sibling indie heroes Lime Cordiale in Christchurch and Auckland, and smash hit maker Tones and I in Wellington — her only NZ show this year.

It's a mammoth lineup of acts that basically means each of these stadium shows is set to be a festival in its own right, making up for two very sad years without live music and gigs. It also marks the second time Six60 will play at Auckland's Eden Park, after being the first act to perform following the council law change last year.
