Brothers Beer

Very craft, and very cool.

Overview

I can’t claim any credit for this find – it goes purely to my 50+ year uncle who came over from the States on the hunt for the best craft beer watering hole. Hidden in amongst the various stages of decrepidness City Works Depot Precinct (the warehouse sheds near Sale St) Brothers Beer serves both as a retail store and the perfect chilled out warehouse/bar.

Very craft, and very cool, to borrow someone else’s terms, it really needs to be seen to be believed. With an on-site micro-brew, the lads pump out various concoctions of their own creation, but also stock more than 200 beers and rock 18 taps from various boutique outlets – it really is a beer nirvana.

Packed full of worn old couches, a few board games and plenty of beer, it’s the ultimate boy’s hangout pad gone pro (but of course it’s more than suitable for ladies as well). The staff are friendly and knowledgeable – pointing you without hesitation to the brew that matches you.

With more atmosphere than you could shake a stick at, and a hidden gem rating off the scale, it’s only a matter of time before you fill that void in your life with a trip to Brothers Beer.
