The Donaldson family have been making wine in the Waipara Valley since the early 70s. The cellar door is open seven days and the $5 tasting fee is waived if you purchase a bottle or dine in the restaurant. Call in here on your way to Hanmer Springs. It's only 35 minutes north of Christchurch.
