Britomart staple Cafe Hanoi has been serving up its fresh take on Vietnamese cuisine and Asian-inspired cocktails since late 2010. Launching this week is the eatery's new Canteen menu which has been designed for the time-poor inner-city lunch crowd. The new selection includes street food classics like Vietnamese beef noodle soup with sirloin and brisket, a crispy coconut pancake with sautéed pork belly and shrimp, pork belly banh mi, and a bun rice noodle bowl served with either lemongrass pork belly, turmeric and galangal chicken or sesame tofu. The dishes are priced between $18.50–25 and come served with a rice paper roll. Southeast Asian-inspired sodas have also been added to the menu with flavour combinations such as pineapple, ginger and kaffir lime; watermelon and mint; and mango, cinnamon and burnt coconut. Cafe Hanoi's Canteen menu is available from 12pm until 4pm, Monday to Friday. [competition]726959[/competition]
