Things are heating up in the Laneway camp. Following the second artist lineup, which included Julie Byrne, Noah Slee and Wax Chattels, organisers have dropped a gourmet food vendor lineup to make dreary festival food run for the hills. There really is something for everyone on the menu, including plant-based burgers, European frites, heavenly sweet doughnuts and a bicycle hawking créme brûlée. Making us consider turning up for the food alone are: caffeine fiends Allpress Espresso, Argentinian slow-cookers Che Lucio, Middle Eastern takeout Fatimas, contemporary Chinese bunnery Judge Bao, Hungarian fried bread puff vendors Langos, K' Road doughnut joint Doornuts, 'smashed' burger-slingers Serial Griller, dumpling lovers The Rolling Pin and vegan burgerie Wise Boy Burgers, loaded chippery Double Dutch Fries, and much more. All the usual festival classics — hot chips, hot dogs and candy floss — will also make an appearance. To wash down that post-mosh nutrition, a selection of bars will be scattered across the Albert Park precinct.
