Overview
Sit up folks, because the next generation of good will and business savvy is here.
A world first and created here in New Zealand, Little Lot connects consumers with brands and charities they care about through their mobile wallpaper. Here’s how it works – Little Lot asks users to welcome advertising onto their android-lock screens. In return, 75% of the advertising revenue is awarded to their chosen charity.
Basically, you get to donate to your favourite charity just by giving up your lock screen, and it never even puts a dent in the piggy bank. Pretty cool, huh?
Little Lot co-director David Hillier says, “Brands face a constant challenge trying to connect with their audiences. Charities also have an ongoing struggle to collect the funds their causes require. Billions of dollars are spent annually trying to connect the dots and individuals are increasingly tired of being harassed. Little Lot is the solution.”
Charities currently involved with Little Lot include World Vision, Paw Justice, OXFAM, The Starship Foundation, The National Breast Cancer Foundation, Make-a-Wish Foundation and Amnesty International, just to name a few, and more still are joining each month.
Now you’re giving me a virtual high-five and exclaiming ‘this is awesome! Where do I sign up?!” Well, get those keyboard fingers ready, because it’s super easy to get in on the Little Lot action. Just hit up their website www.littlelot.com, download and install the app, create a profile, choose your worthy cause, and then sit back, ready to soak up the good karma floating your way.
