Overview

Official apparel sponsor, Canterbury of New Zealand this week held their fitting for the new elite Vodafone Warriors 2012 jersey and apparel range. Along with a few shirtless players, Concrete Playground got the first glimpse of the new player’s kit which incorporates not only a refreshed look and unique designs but improved fabric technology for a jersey that is lighter, stronger and more breathable than ever before.

A celebration of New Zealand rugby league heritage, Canterbury of New Zealand have crafted a design, that for the first time since 2002 brings back the ‘double V’, a traditional, heritage league look. The Vodafone Warriors home strip remains black with a white ‘away’ strip. The Junior Vodafone Warriors gets a bold new red home jersey that gives a unique, youthful identity.

Colin Gibson, Canterbury’s Marketing & Sponsorship Manager says that the new design pays respect to the heritage of the game and offers a new look for the club in 2012. The official Vodafone Warriors range will be available to buy from early December 2011 which will include Vodafone Warriors elite jersey replicas, training and street wear apparel, all in which are developed specifically for the fans with a focus on comfort and relaxed fits.
