Overview

This might not be the most suitable undergarment to wear to a concert. Unless, of course, you're totally rock and roll. All it takes is two claps, and the "Clap-off Bra", as the name suggests, comes undone.

Anyone who's gone through the whole fumbling-fingers-clasp-struggle is probably reaching for their credit card right now. The innovation certainly promises to delete one occasionally troublesome step from the seduction routine. But at the same time, it's difficult not to wonder how the Clap-off Bra might go in an especially noisy area.

Inventor Randy Safaran says that his inspiration came from reading about Syrian lingerie. "In the West, we often think of Arab cultures as sexually repressed, when - in fact - it turns out that they are clearly leaps and bounds ahead of us in advancements in lingerie technology. Those of us in Western cultures have a thing or two to learn from the Syrians about gaudy electronic lingerie . . . Henceforth, it became my mission to fast-forward lingerie technology in the West.'

Having spent two years developing the Clap-Off Bra through a 'long arduous process', Safaran is now busy sharing his prototype with the Western world. He's even published how-to-make-your-own instructions online.
