Fancy some fashion with your food? Well you’re in luck, with Sale St recently launching their first instalment of exciting events that combines their notoriously delicious food with fresh fashion designs for the new season.

The Fashion Fusion concept introduces an exciting fashion show experience featuring the latest collections from three distinct leading NZ Fashion labels, whilst enjoying a three course lunch by head chef Nick Honeymoon.

The first of the Fashion Fusion events bought together lovers of food and fashion alike, treating guests to unique dishes, each inspired by the designer’s favourite ingredients.

Opening the afternoon was Augustine’s unique colourful, embellished designs paired with an entrée of popcorn flavoured scallops, later followed by Egoist, a menswear label designed in New Zealand but with a distinctive European flair, which was teamed with a divine serving of lamb for the main course. Finally closing the afternoon was Celine Rita, known for her stylish feminine clothes that capture a fresh, pretty aesthetic whilst still remaining edgy, perfectly complemented the dessert of white chocolate and coconut flavours.

The quality of the food, fashion and production made for a stunning afternoon in the sun hosted by celebrity personality, Jo Cotton. If you missed out on Fashion Fusion this time round, keep your eyes peeled for their next event which has been confirmed for later this year (when the sun returns).
