Charlie Brown, the Australian fashion designer known for her beautiful cocktail dresses, evening dresses and bridal wear, will be showing for the first time at New Zealand Fashion Week this year. She is the first designer to be announced on the 2012 NZFW schedule and adds an exciting international flavour to the anticipated list of participating designers.

“Charlie Brown is well known on these shores and with a strong, glamorous following in New Zealand, is a very welcome addition to what is shaping up to be another exciting event,” says Managing Director Pieter Stewart.

With a retail presence via her own boutique in Auckland’s Newmarket, and through leading department stores, Kirkcaldie and Staines and Smith and Caughey, Charlie Brown has established fashion credentials in New Zealand.

"Since opening my Charlie Brown Auckland store in August 2011, I have been overwhelmed with the interest in my fashions from New Zealanders and it seems so natural to now be participating in New Zealand's premium fashion event," says Brown.

5. A Sneak Peek at Salasai Spring 2012

Season eleven for Salasai represents a renewed spirit of colour, proportion and construction. The collection focuses on modern minimalism, re-enforced by newly developed shapes.
