Overview
Nike held their Winter 2013 range release at Carriageworks in Sydney, where invited media were given a sneak preview into the latest trends, designs, and collaborations. Known and respected for advancing fashion technology, it's safe to say that bold colours are back.
Nike continue to raise the bar with their sleek fitness designs in apparel and footwear, encouraging the everyday sports person to get in to shape. Particular highlights included the release of their street, skate and surf range, creating dress shirts that breathe, enabling pro skaters to perform at their best while still looking good. The brand worked closely with leading skaters and surfers on developing everyday clothing that still provides the supreme functionality that Nike have been bringing to other notable global sports such as athletics, football and basketball. As usual, the training apparel from Nike was attractive, offering the ability to convert your usually awkward looking fitness gear into comfortable everyday use.
The most notable highlight of our visit was the announcement of the collaboration with Xbox Kinect and Nike+. If you are a big fan of Nike+ technology, then adding an Xbox Kinect set to your Christmas list is a must, as you will soon be able to work out in your own lounge, using Kinect technology, while gaining Nike Fuel points. The game was fun, and can cater for all fitness levels. Watch this space, the product is launched on November 1.
