Converse has announced the launch of their fifth Missoni for Converse Chuck Taylor All Star collection for Spring 2012.

New this season, Converse works with Missoni to create two women’s-only versions of the shoe with a touch of metallic sparkle added to Missoni’s signature zig zag, knit used in the uppers. In addition to the women’s-only versions, a fresh unisex model comes in Missoni’s exclusive multi-stitch, space-dyed fabric in sharp hues of navy and white. Familiar from past Converse and Missoni collaborations, each shoe includes premium leather on the tongue’s upper, logos, heel-pull-tabs and toe caps.

Available exclusively from Area 51, the limited edition Missoni for Converse Chuck Taylor All Star shoes are now in store. Available in unisex sizing 3 – 13. RRP$240-$285.

2. Deadly Ponies 'Hurrichain' A/W 2012

The Deadly Ponies A/W 2012 collection titled ‘Hurrichain’ storms ahead with a ragged mix of bold colours, quilting and chain detail.

To celebrate their latest instalment, Deadly Ponies have teamed up with talented New Zealand photographer/ videographer, Garth Badger to create a short video demonstrating the beautiful workmanship that goes into every Deadly Ponies bag, in particular the Mr. Fill N Zip Twist from the A/W 2012 range.

3. Kat Gee for Kagi

Since the release of Kagi’s latest stunning collection, ‘Enchanted’, Kat Gee has been at the forefront of a whirlwind response to her latest role as ‘model’ for the new range.

In an unlikely move, Kat Gee, designer and founder of Kagi jewellery has put her body where her mouth is, this season making the brave decision to model the ‘Enchanted’ collection herself. For anyone unconvinced of Gee’s modelling ability, New Zealand’s Next Top Model judge, Colin Mathura-Jeffree will set you straight, recently remarking how much Kat Gee looks like a “gorgeous goddess.”

5. MisteR winter launch at Marvel

Christchurch based label, MisteR last week held a VIP evening in Auckland at Marvel Menswear to celebrate the arrival of their new winter 2012 range.

The collection features a grim themed colour palette of black, navy and deep greens complete with a candy coating of pebble oranges, candy floss blue, lolly greens and purple icing, combined with MisteR's classic cuts and costumesque styling. All eyes have been on the label since showing at NZ Fashion Week last year in which they received exceptional reviews and a very rare standing ovation.
