As we wait for pizza drones and autonomous robots to deliver us sustenance, transportation game changer Uber is here to pick up the loose ends. Our neighbours across the ditch have enjoyed the company's on demand food delivery service for the past year, but finally, it's Auckland's turn to reap the benefits of UberEATS.

The service basically allows a number of different restaurants to get their food delivered to customers by a wide access of ever-available drivers. More than 70 Auckland restaurants are currently on the list, including the likes of The Midnight Baker, Al's Deli, Miss Moonshines, Little Bird Unbakery and Miann.

To kick off UberEATS in Auckland, Uber is offering free delivery on the first three orders for all new customers. Use the code AUCKLAND until the end of April and get buttermilk fried chicken or a raw smoothie delivered direct to your door, desk or bed.

The Auckland operation is currently only available in the central suburbs, from Point Chev to Parnell, Newmarket to Eden Park and everywhere in between.

You can download the UberEATS app here. For all the details, visit ubereats.com/auckland.
