Overview

There's no telling what you'll look like with a tattoo, and once you go under the needle, there's no turning back. The Get Ink'd vending machine eliminates the anxiety around permanent ink, while still giving badass results and an idea of what you'd look like with 'no regerts' scribbled across your wrist in hieroglyphics. It arrives in Auckland this week to celebrate season two of MTV's mystery tattoo reality show, Just Tattoo Of Us.

How it works: participants put their hand or arm inside the Get Ink'd vending machine, before one of 20 random tattoo designs are applied directly on to the skin via a digital transfer. The machine is powered by Prinker, a South Korean contraption that can be used to apply customised and temporary tattoos with your smartphone in seconds. By utilising cosmetic-grade ink, each tattoo only lasts 3-5 days and can be washed off with soap and water.

Get Ink'd can be found at St Lukes Mall on Thursday 2 November from 11am to 2pm or St Kevin's Arcade on Friday 3 November from 11am to 2pm.
