In The Guest Edit, we hand the reins over to some of the most interesting, tasteful and (or) entertaining people in Australia and New Zealand. For this instalment, we've enlisted The Curve co-founder Victoria Harris to share the resources that help her get ahead of the curve (sorry).

CP: Feel clueless when your friends start talking about shares, investing, and their "rainy day funds"? (Seriously, who has those?) Enter Victoria Harris. The Curve co-founder is on a mission to bridge New Zealand's gender investing gap and equip women with the knowledge and confidence to achieve wealth and financial freedom.

Through podcasts, workshops and online tutorials, Harris provides a safe space to bring people together, to talk, learn, and ultimately cut through the noise. With over ten years in the investment and finance industry, it's safe to say she has it together. So we asked Harris which resources she reaches for to feel inspired and achieve her own financial goals.

PODCAST: COOKING THE BOOKS BY FRANCES COOK

I love seeing other women educating people about money and finances! Frances is a journalist turned podcast extraordinaire. Her podcast tackles a range of money topics, and being a financial adviser herself, she is amazing at explaining complicated financial terms in simple, everyday terms - something I love. A big part of the investing game is mental and Frances, like me, is a big believer that the actual nuts and bolts of investing aren't all that hard.

COMPANY: BECK WADWORTH'S AN ORGANISED LIFE

In order to get on top of your finances, you must be organised. Whether it is creating a budget or monitoring your investment portfolio, having the right tools makes it less likely for you to fall off the bandwagon. 'An Organised Life' was founded by a friend of The Curve, Beck Wadworth, with the intention of creating beautiful but functional products. I have used their diaries for years now and can honestly say, I'm addicted. Hence why we collaborated to create our Finance and Investment Planner - it was a no-brainer! (CP note: check out Beck's Guest Edit on her must-have books.)

INSTAGRAM PAGE: WE THE URBAN

There are definitely times when things get a bit stressful and we feel overwhelmed - and not just in regards to investing and money. Your money stresses can easily impact your physical and emotional wellbeing if not properly managed. This is a page that I frequent a lot for some positive affirmations and self-love when things seem to be getting a little crazy.

BOOK: ATOMIC HABITS BY JAMES CLEAR

This is a book I first read last summer, and have read it a total of three times now. It is all about creating habits, and habits that stick - something I sometimes struggle with! Making meaningful changes is all about starting small and watching your changes compound over time. It's the same with investing. A little can become a lot if you do the right things. I have recommended this book to so many people now (and have given a tonne as birthday presents). I think it is a must-read for anyone wanting to make changes, big or small, in their life.

BOOK: THE MOMENT OF LIFT BY MELINDA GATES

Like a lot of women, Melinda Gates is often on the sidelines when it comes to her famous (now ex) husband. I read this book a long time ago and many parts of it are still etched in my brain. She talks about the roles women play in society and how empowering women can really change the world - something we are trying to achieve at The Curve. Greater gender equality brings greater economic growth which benefits all.
