Head out west and check out the end of year exhibition for the Kākano Youth Arts Collective.
You may have noticed murals and sculptural installations popping up in West Auckland over the past few years — chances are the local art you've been appreciating has been the work of Kākano.
Holding weekly workshops at Corbans, the youth experiment with different art forms and processes building their confidence and developing their skill set that helps them prepare for training, paid work or further education.
Head along to see fresh work from local 13 - 17-year-olds and support them in their creative paths.
