A Can for a Coffee

Overview

Once again, Goodness Gracious is allowing you to exchange a can for a coffee, with all donations going to Auckland City Mission. Unfortunately, there are more Aucklanders in need than ever before, so why not help them out and get your morning brew in exchange?

Don't forget that not all canned foods have equal value — if you can't find a use for your old canned boysenberries, it's not going to be any easier for someone with fewer resources. Tins that can be made into meals with minimal effort (think baked beans, corn and spaghetti) are the best ones to give.

Last year more than 300 donations were collected, but with both Goodness Gracious locations participating this year, they are aiming for 1000. So gather up your cans and your coworkers and head to your nearest Goodness Gracious on Tuesday, 11 June for the simplest way to support the incredible work of the Auckland City Mission.

This year will be the biggest event to date as it will be held simultaneously across all Goodness Gracious spots, with operators from Takapuna's Goodside Food precinct also coming on board.
