Overview

It's been 50 years since The Beatles landed on our shores and performed before hundreds of hysterical fans at the Auckland Town Hall.

To mark the occasion a two-night celebration will play out on the same stage, with esteemed NZ songwriters teaming up with school students to perform an array of songs from the fab four's extensive catalogue. Each night will feature a different line up - including the likes of Tim Finn, Graham Brazier, SJD, Jordan Luck, Fiona McDonald.

All funds raised will go to Play It Strange trust which was set up to shine a spotlight on young people and their songs. It runs several secondary school songwriting competitions as well as the Jam Bus mobile recording studio through Auckland primary schools.
