Overview

UK comedic legend Alan Davies returns to New Zealand after 15 years with his new show Life is Pain. Alan is known for his inappropriate and often wrong answers on QI (with fellow legend Steven Fry) as much as he is for his work in Jonathan Creek. The latter show ran for 14 years and attracted a global audience, gaining Alan a cult following that has followed him around the comedic circuit ever since.

On the stage, the screen and as an author, Davies has done it all. He has won a number of comedy awards including an Edinburgh Festival Critics Award for Comedy and a nomination for the prestigious Perrier Award. He has toured the UK and Australia extensively over the years and released a popular DVD called Urban Trauma, based on his previous stand up show.

Davies will perform his new show all around the country, but Auckland is lucky enough to get the show on the road at Town Hall on Friday, February 1.
