Overview
Found in the ice-cool waters of Foveaux Strait, Bluff oysters are often considered the finest bivalve molluscs in the entire underwater kingdom for their succulence and clean, briny and balanced characteristics. The Bluff oyster season typically kicks off on March 1, and runs until the end of August or whenever the harvest quota has been reached.
If you're keen to have your fill of Southland aphrodisiacs this year, Parnell's Non Solo Pizza is throwing an all-you-can-eat long lunch complete with live music and refreshing beverages.
Tickets to the three-hour Italian-style lunch on Wednesday, 3 March include the choice of a Peroni, flute of Verve Clicquot or Aperol spritz on arrival, all the Bluff oysters you can handle and beats by Jaimie Webster Haines. The freshly shucked Bluffies come served with a variety of dressings, and to top off the occasion there'll be shared antipasto and a seasonal main course.
Seats are available in the stunning mosaic courtyard or the restaurant's dining room. The date may change due to the availability of oysters.
