Overview

On November 9th 1989 Tony Forster played a naive role in one of modern history's greatest events. The night the Berlin Wall fell, Forster was one of the first individuals to pass through Checkpoint Charlie, unaware of the significance of that very moment.

Some 20 years down the track, Forster decided to take that poignant night and create a documentary. The 89-minute film explores Forster's moving experience of being involved the historical event. An Accidental Berliner took home the price for the best emerging filmmaker at the Documentary Edge Festival in 2015, and will be showing at Auckland Art Gallery Saturday 26 November.

This event is open to all ages at a small cost of a fiver for admission. Come along and celebrate Germany's 27th anniversary since the fall of the Berlin Wall.
