Overview

Hot on the heels of the debut Anno Domini event, the purveyors of rooftop cool bring Dam-Funk to New Zealand on the last leg of his Invite The Light international tour. Promoters David Benge, Mark Kneebone and Tom McGuiness have taken inspiration from events around the world, bringing high flying DJs together with the best venue, food and drinks in Auckland.

Dam-Funk's Invite The Light made it onto Pitchfork's Honorable Mentions list for best albums of 2015, and for good reason. The record is a slick production, popular in sound with enough eccentricities to keep it interesting - both Snoop Dogg and Ariel Pink make appearances. Dam-Funk enlists the funk to do his bidding, rather than being a slave to its revival.

Hosted on the spatial rooftop of Auckland Art Gallery from mid-afternoon to early evening, punters will have a hard time deciding which late afternoon bite to choose, as Coco's Cantina, Judge Bao and Bearded Clam serve up the goods. Treat yo'self Sunday will be in full swing with cocktails and drinks provided by award-winning bar Mea Culpa.
