Anti-Valentine's 2021
An alternative take on the Valentine's tradition at the museum of transport and technology.
Overview
Western Springs' beloved museum of transport and technology hasn't caught the love bug this year. MOTAT, of all places, is hosting an event for those just not that into the idea of Valentine's Day. On Sunday, February 14, the museum is inviting Aucklanders to escape the cheese and sentimental mush for an anti-Valentine's night full of light-hearted fun and entertainment.
Visitors are invited to explore the museum grounds which will be scattered with food stands, bars and activations. A variety of entertainment, activities and general shenanigans will feature, from cocktail making and painting classes to archery and roaming love police.
It doesn't matter whether you're single, in a relationship, or going through a complicated patch, MOTAT welcomes everyone to come and not celebrate the annual commercially driven day of romance. The event is restricted to those 18 and above.
