Overview

On April 25, our country will remember all Australians and New Zealanders who have died serving in all wars, conflicts and peacekeeping missions since 1915. ANZAC Day at the Auckland Museum offers a free program from 6am to 5pm to honour those soldiers and peacekeepers.

The day will begin at 6am with a dawn service. After the dawn service, the doors of the museum will open, with a civic service being held at 11am. During the day, staff members will also be available to help those related to fallen service women and men research their family members' service records.

The day will also feature WWI and WWII tours, a Pou Kanohi dedicated to educating young people about the First World War, an Auckland Youth Choir performance at 8.30am to remember the fallen and readings by Lest We Forget Poetry Competition Finalists, and a Macleans College Chorale program at 1pm.
