Overview

In the spirit of Cirque du Soleil's thrilling creations, the AQUA display at Auckland Museum promises to be a multi-sensory adventure. AQUA uses massive 360° projections, interactive digital screens, music and visual effects to draw visitors into the experience and tell the story of water, all the while, delivering a powerful message.

It reminds us that water is a vital resource for our planet.  Over two thirds of the world's surface is covered by water - 97% of the water on Earth is ocean, 3% is freshwater but just a tiny fraction of that is available to drink.

The message that Aqua attempts to get across is that here in New Zealand, we take our fresh tap water for granted.  During the display, AQUA transports you, in and around the globe to places where water is in short supply or seriously polluted.  Two trained host takes you through the 30 minute experience.
