Overview
Atomic Coffee has been roasting, pouring and promoting a positive bean to brew policy for 25 years now. The company's staunch commitment to the coffee cause, and its signature ageing process, has seen it become one of the most trusted boutique roasteries in the city and expand with outlets in Kingsland, Ponsonby, Wynyard Quarter, Parnell and Sydney.
To celebrate the quarter century milestone, Atomic will branch out from its original coffee mecca along New North Road for a five-day pop-up. Starting on Monday 24 July, the coffee advocates will take over 111 Wellesley Street West in the CBD for an apt 25 hours.
A special anniversary blend has been created for the occasion, using the same recipe that Atomic introduced back in 1992. Visitors to the pop-up will be able to sample the Argento blend — "a bright and winey espresso" — for a breezy gold coin donation. Even better, all proceeds will be donated to the Auckland City Mission.
Customers will also be treated to glorious sugary treats from North American-style bakery, Doornuts, who have fashioned four new Atomic-infused flavours: caramel macchiato, espresso glaze, dark chocolate ganache and biscotti and Kaluha.
