Auckland Folk Festival 2021
Auckland's grand celebration of folk is back for its 48th year.
Overview
Acoustic guitars, breathy voices and melodic tales of love and hardship will be on the menu as the Auckland Folk Festival 2021 rolls into town next Anniversary Weekend.
For its 48th year, the festival will run over three consecutive days showcasing a wide range of folk music, from contemporary through bluegrass, Irish and traditional. This year's lineup features a who's who of folk artists across six stages, including The Eastern, Delaney Davidson, Barry Saunders, Jenny Mitchell, The Black Quartet, The Harmonic Resonators and Looking For Alaska.
Those looking to participate can join one of the three ceilidhs or take part in a series of music and dance workshops. The festival will close with performances from the three finalists in line for the Best Folk Album of the Year.
