Overview

For the sixth consecutive year the Indonesia New Zealand society brings the Auckland Indonesian Festival to life in the modern surrounds of Newmarket's Raye Freedman Arts Centre. There will be all manner of Indonesian festivities and cultural displays on offer including a screening of acclaimed Indonesian film, Habbie and Ainun, one of the country's highest grossing and most loved films of all time. Experience the taste of Indonesia with a wide variety of Indonesian cuisine on sale, including local favourites Nasi Padang and Siomay Banding.

Be entertained and wowed by the culture and art of this mysterious region as skilled performers and models enact traditional musical and dance performances, display their beautiful artworks and model Indonesian fashion. Definitely worth the bus fare to Newmarket, this is a unique event showcasing the intriguing culture of the world's fourth most populous country.
