Overview

Let your tastebuds travel the world at this celebration of cultural diversity. The Auckland International Cultural Festival is an opportunity for the public to connect and celebrate the many different cultures that call Tāmaki Makaurau home. It will land at Mt Roskill War Memorial Park on Sunday 8 April bringing together more than 50 different cultures.

Food is the main attraction and you can expect to sample traditional dishes from Ethiopia, Russia, Thailand, Cambodia and beyond. Past highlights have included Spanish churros with cinnamon and caramel sauce, Argentinian wood-fired barbecue, traditional Ethiopian curry and Chinese steamed buns.

As you chow down on a myriad of goods, there will be live performances to keep you entertained. Join in with a range of cultural activities like the Fortune Cookie Cart or set up in front of the festival stage for a lineup of performances including Nigerian-Kiwi rapper, Unchained XL and DJ Stinky Jim.

It's free and family friendly.
