Overview

Auckland Museum's annual Cultural Festival returns once again for its sixth year on August 25 and 26. The festival, which celebrates art and culture from local Asian communities, is free to attend and will run between the Museum and Auckland Art Gallery from 10am to 4pm each day.

Festival-goers can take part in or simply observe and enjoy musical performances, martial arts showcases, art and crafts, tea ceremonies and traditional games from Chinese, Japanese and Korean cultures.

Performances and demonstrations are provided both by local Auckland as well as visiting international artists from Japan and Taiwan in what will prove to be a colourful and diverse celebration of Asian culture.
