Overview
After more than a decade the Auckland Pride Festival finally has its parade back and will be taking over the streets of Ponsonby for one fabulous afternoon.
The theme of this year's Auckland Pride Parade is One Community. You can expect explosions of colour, sequins, over the top drag queens, hot-toned bodies, wild dancing and a choir performing live on the back of a truck - all on a stage over 1.5km long.
The parade route travels up Ponsonby Rd from Western Park to Three Lamps. Leave your car behind and wear your flats because Ponsonby Rd and all adjoining streets will be closed to traffic from midday till 9pm.
