Beer & Bacon Festival

Overview

It's one of the world's most powerful thirst triggers, but when it comes down to cold hard facts, bacon is more likely to be paired with eggs (71% of the time) than a frosty one. Good news, parched readers. Those statistics are about to change (ever so slightly) as Sweat Shop Brew Bar holds a Beer & Bacon Festival.

Umami levels will be off the radar at the inaugural event this September. The Freemans Bay micro-brewery will have the beer covered with its latest spring selection. Elsewhere, attendees will be able to try bacon-infused cocktails and beer, and sample bacon treats from a variety of stall holders.

The main event will be the country's first ever recorded bacon eating championship. As well as getting their fair share of salty goodness, entrants will have the chance of winning $500 worth of bacon for their trouble, plus a Sweat Shop voucher and bacon eating trophy.

Every attendee will receive ten bacon dollars upon entry to spend on you know what.
